MSP Summit Highlights Growth Potential for Channel Partners
Cyber breaches are everywhere, people are working from anywhere, and data creation is exploding. As a result, businesses want solutions that make data collaboration and governance easier and more secure, and MSPs are at the forefront of this market opportunity.
Those opportunities were on full display last week as more than 250 managed service providers, technologists, and Egnyte leaders met virtually—and in-person in London—for Egnyte’s annual MSP Summit. Participants discussed market trends impacting MSPS, as well as Egnyte’s growth strategy, which puts its partner channel front and center.
Here are some of the highlights from a day packed with valuable insights for MSPs looking to grow their business.
Security Threats Are a Growing Problem for MSPs
Wayne Selk, vice president of cybersecurity programs and executive director at CompTIA, presented a wealth of information on why it’s critically important to focus on protecting your data. He dispelled the misconception that tools alone can protect businesses from cyber threats. In addition to finding the right tools, Selk said IT professionals need to know how sensitive company data is stored, processed, and accessed in order to successfully respond to an attack.
There were also breakout sessions that provided practical ways Egnyte can help your clients lower their risk of data loss, including tips on data governance and content lifecycle management.
There are Big Opportunities to Grow Revenue
Tiffani Bova, global growth and innovation evangelist at Salesforce, hosted a keynote titled, Growth is a Thinking Game. Bova shared insights on what it takes to grow your business, including how to outthink the market, provide incredible customer experience, and use technology to streamline processes.
Plus, for those MSPs looking to expand into new markets, there were multiple sessions that discussed what you need to get started in data and governance solutions and how to tailor your business to specific industries, such as life sciences or architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC).
Egnyte also provided a sneak peek of its new webinar series designed to help managed IT service providers grow their business using a customer experience journey as a framework. The series will continue throughout 2022 and focus on a different part of the customer experience each time.
Egnyte Invests Heavily to Help Partners Succeed
In the opening keynote, Egnyte Chief Experience Officer and Co-founder Rajesh Ram reflected on the investments the company continues to make to simplify the sales process for MSPs, including recent updates like streamlined partner-exclusive packages. He also discussed a series of training and enablement sessions available to partners, along with marketing and sales tools to help them grow their business and profit margin.
And these initiatives are already paying off. In the last eight months, Egnyte has won eight different awards from the channel community:
